Hello my friends!
It feels like just yesterday we sent out the last update, but things are starting to come together!
Over the weekend I realized I had to make a decision about shipping the Kickstarter freight that was at my house to the Exalted Funeral warehouse.
I'm in upstate NY, and the warehouse we're working with is in Maryland.
Instead of paying hundreds of dollars in shipping, I decided it would be more prudent to deliver the books in person, road-trip style.
Looking over my upcoming work schedule on Sunday, I also realized that the best time for me to do so was that exact moment, and no later.
So yesterday, this happened...
7AM we shipped ourselves out to the greater Baltimore area... it was just me, Groot, and the road.
The road was kind, no accidents, fiascos, or close calls.
We made it to Exalted Funerals' warehouse and were met by only smiling faces. The warehouse workers were really cool, and I was so refreshed to find that everyone I met was also just as invested in this hobby as any one of us!
Walking the unhallowed halls of EF felt like peeking inside the Willy Wonka factory - except instead of rainbow-colored chocolates, it was bursting at the seams with cardboard hoards of RPG mysteries. SUCH A COOL EXPERIENCE!
Originally, the plan was to drive down, drop off the books at the warehouse, get a hotel, and drive back the next day.
However, with my work schedule shaping up as it did, and with a further desire to conserve funds, we didn't stay the night. We drove all the way home instead (For those keeping score at home, we drove for 15 hours total).
I wouldn't recommend doing something like this to anyone.
The only reason I did it was because I realized everything else is with this Kickstarter coming up really fast.
This week, we'll be getting the adventure brochures in from Mixam.
The hardcovers will be arriving to both the EF warehouse, and my 'warehouse' around September 6th.
Which leaves us with those darn T shirts...
T Shirt News!
This weekend we also got everything together for the T-shirts!
They haven't been ordered yet, but they will in the coming weeks.
I've ordered a sample shirt for quality screening, and when everything is confirmed, we'll be sending out shirt orders and mailing them directly to US backers.
I'm trying to coordinate their printing and departure to coincide with the shipping of the KS pledges.
Expect near-weekly updates as we lead into FULFILLMENT of THE EPIC OF DREAMS: BASILISK EDITION.
Thank you all so much for your patience, attention, and support.
I appreciate you all very much.
May we never do you harm.
Your worst servant
Drew
